About this event

Colorado made history with Proposition 122 — but what does the law actually say? What is and isn't legal, who can access supervised psilocybin services, and what does this mean for SANCTUM's work in Aspen? These are questions worth understanding clearly.

In this free public talk, SANCTUM founding partner and Prop 122 campaign leader Skippy Mesirow gives an insider's account of how the law came to pass and what it means in practice. We'll cover the current regulatory framework in Colorado, the state of federal policy, and what advocacy efforts are underway nationwide — including the implications for veterans, clinical research, and everyday access.

This is Part 3 in SANCTUM's free four-part Education Series. Whether you're personally considering a SANCTUM retreat or simply curious about the policy frontier, this talk will give you solid footing.

Speaker

Skippy Mesirow is the former Mayor of Aspen, Colorado and a founding partner of SANCTUM Aspen. A nationally recognized psychedelic policy advocate, he spearheaded the successful passage of Colorado's Proposition 122 — the Natural Medicine Health Act — which legalized supervised psilocybin services statewide.

Drawing on his decade in elected office, his background in mental health advocacy, and his work building SANCTUM, Skippy speaks with clarity and conviction about the science, history, and future of psychedelic healing. His talks are grounded in evidence and shaped by the stories of real people whose lives have been transformed.
