1. Enrollment & Deposit
Enrollment in the SANCTUM Couples Immersion is confirmed upon receipt of a completed enrollment agreement and a non-refundable deposit of $2,500 per couple. Space is limited to five couples per cohort. Enrollment is contingent upon successful completion of SANCTUM's medical and safety screening. SANCTUM reserves the right to decline enrollment if screening criteria are not met, in which case any payments beyond the deposit will be refunded in full.
2. Payment Schedule
The remaining program balance is due in full no later than 60 days prior to the retreat start date. Failure to remit the remaining balance by the due date may result in forfeiture of your enrollment and deposit. Payment plans may be available upon written request and are subject to SANCTUM approval. All payments are processed in US dollars.
3. Cancellation & Refund Policy
Cancellations must be submitted in writing to [email protected]. The following schedule applies: More than 90 days before retreat start: deposit is forfeited; all additional payments are refunded in full. 61–90 days before retreat start: 25% of the total program fee is forfeited. 31–60 days before retreat start: 50% of the total program fee is forfeited. 30 days or fewer before retreat start: no refund will be issued. Enrollment may be transferred to a future cohort, subject to availability and a $500 transfer fee, if requested no fewer than 60 days before the retreat start date. If SANCTUM cancels a cohort for any reason, participants will receive a full refund of all payments made, or may elect to transfer enrollment to a future cohort at no additional cost.
4. Medical Screening & Eligibility
All participants must complete SANCTUM's comprehensive medical and safety screening with our consulting physician prior to enrollment confirmation. Participation is contingent upon clearance from our medical team. Certain medical conditions, current medications, and mental health histories may preclude safe participation; our team will communicate this clearly and without judgment. Providing false, incomplete, or misleading information during screening is grounds for immediate removal from the program without refund. Participants are responsible for disclosing any changes to their health status between screening and retreat commencement.
5. Health, Safety & Conduct
SANCTUM operates in full compliance with Colorado's Natural Medicine Health Act (Proposition 122). All medicine ceremonies are facilitated by licensed practitioners in a supervised, structured, and legal environment. A professionally guided non-medicine breathwork option is available for participants who prefer not to ingest medicine; this must be communicated at time of enrollment. Participants agree to follow all safety protocols, facilitator instructions, and program guidelines throughout the immersion. SANCTUM reserves the right to remove any participant who poses a safety risk to themselves, other participants, or the program — including due to undisclosed substance use or non-compliance with facilitator direction — without refund.
6. Community Standards & Confidentiality
SANCTUM's Couples Immersion is a high-trust, confidential container. All participants agree to: respect the privacy and personal boundaries of fellow participants and their partners; refrain from audio or video recording of other participants without explicit written consent; engage with radical honesty, care, and integrity; and hold all shared material — personal stories, relationship dynamics, insights, and experiences — in strict confidence outside the program. SANCTUM staff and facilitators are bound by professional confidentiality standards. Breach of confidentiality is grounds for removal without refund and may result in legal action.
7. Media & Photography
SANCTUM may photograph or record retreat activities for internal training and promotional purposes. No identifiable images or recordings of participants will be used publicly without prior written consent. Personal recording devices, including mobile phones, are not permitted during ceremony, group sessions, or shared activities without the explicit consent of all present parties. SANCTUM may request written testimonials or media releases; participation is entirely voluntary.
8. Intellectual Property
All program materials, frameworks, curricula, and content provided by SANCTUM — including The COURAGE Method™, the Conscious Couples Framework, and any associated materials — are the proprietary intellectual property of SANCTUM and its facilitators. Participants may not reproduce, distribute, teach, or commercialize any SANCTUM materials without prior written authorization.
9. Limitation of Liability
By enrolling, participants acknowledge and voluntarily accept the inherent risks associated with psychedelic-assisted experiences, intensive relational and somatic work, and immersive residential retreat settings. Participants agree to hold harmless SANCTUM, The Civic Courage Lab LLC, The School of Expression, their founders, facilitators, staff, contractors, medical advisors, and venue partners from any claim, loss, injury, damage, or liability of any kind arising from enrollment or participation. This limitation does not apply to losses resulting from gross negligence or willful misconduct on the part of SANCTUM or its representatives.
10. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado. Any dispute, claim, or controversy arising from or relating to enrollment, participation, or these terms shall be resolved through binding arbitration administered by JAMS in Pitkin County, Colorado, under its Streamlined Arbitration Rules. Each party bears its own legal fees unless the arbitrator determines otherwise. Nothing herein prevents either party from seeking emergency injunctive relief in a court of competent jurisdiction. By enrolling, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these terms in their entirety.
